Mr. Moritz’s mother, Doris, was part of the kindertransport, a rescue effort that took about 9,300 unaccompanied, mostly Jewish children from Germany, Austria, Poland and Czechoslovakia to Britain shortly before the outbreak of World War Ⅱ. “ My father’s cousin, Fritz Ursell, was also rescued from terrible circumstances.
