少指导是必然的，不指导是不可能的。新课标提倡学生自由表达，是为学生的自主写作提供有利条件和广阔空间，减少对学生的束缚，但像观察、审题、构思、选材等诸多能力的培养，改写、扩写、仿写、续写等拓展性练习的创设都离不开教师匠心独运的指导。因此作为教师，既要上顾课标，又要下思学情，利用教材，开发资源，沟通生活，激发想象，鼓励创新，给学生的习作创设广阔的自由发展空间，把习作引向其他学科的学习，引向大自然，引向社会生活，引向广袤的想象空间，让学生满怀信心地自由习作，生动活泼地主动地发展。
