5、可处理性。这一特征包括多方面内容，如信息的可拓展、可引伸、可浓缩等。这一特征使信息得以增值或便于传递、利用。
6、可共享性。信息与一般物质资源不同，它不属于特定的占有对象，可以为众多的人们共同享用。实物转赠之后，就不再属于原主，而信息通过双方交流，两者都有得无失。
